Opening Scramble: Four (4) person team

Due to Covid-19 2020 Events have been postponed until further notice.

FORMAT: Each Player will tee off, select the best positioned ball and all players will play from the chosen position. This process will continue until the ball is holed. Ball position may be improved by one club length no closer to the hole and the ball MUST remain in its’ like condition (ball in the rough all players play from the rough). On the green, the ball position may be improved by one putter head length. CAUTION: Make sure all attempts have been made before the ball is holed, otherwise the score MUST stand and the hole is completed. AT LEAST THREE DRIVES MUST BE USED FROM EACH PLAYER.

TEES: Men will play from the GOLD TEES; Senior Men (+55) will play from the WHITE TEES; Women will play from the RED TEES

HANDICAPS: Handicaps will be figured by taking the “A” player from each team. The lowest handicapped a player will go to 0 and the remaining teams will receive a ¼ shot for every full shot of difference. (Team 1 A-Player HDCP = 4, Team 2 A-Player = 10; Team 2 HDCP will be 1.5)

ENTRY FEE: $75 for Non Members; $65 for Card Holders; $55 for Members
Entry Fee includes: Green Fees, Cart, Food and Prizes.

PAYOUTS: In Golf Shop Certificates for GROSS AND NET WINNERS

RULES: USGA Rules shall govern play. If in doubt to procedure, play a second ball and bring to the Committee for a ruling.

Texas Scramble: Four (4) person team

TEES: All players will start on the WHITE TEES.  If the team makes a Birdie on a hole they will move back a set of tees, if the team makes a Par the stay on their current set, if they make a Bogey they move up a set of tees. (ex. Hole #1 team makes a birdie on Hole #2 the y tee off from the GOLD tees)

HANDICAPS: Handicaps will be figured by combining the 20% of the A-Player, 15% of the B-Player, 10% of the C-Player and 5% of the D-Player

Red Tail Junior Championship

Due to Covid-19 2020 Events have been postponed until further notice.

FORMAT: Stroke Play Event – each player plays his /her own ball until the ball is holed.  The ball shall be played as it lies. Exception for Abnormal Ground Conditions or Water Hazards as the rules of Golf Apply. ALL JUNIORS MUST WALK (CARRY THEIR OWN BAG, PULL/PUSH CART OR CADDIE)

HOLES PLAYED:
18 Hole WHITE/RED TEES AGES 15 TO 17
9 HOLE RED TEES AGES 10 TO 14
5 Hole YELLOW FAMILY TEES AGES 7 TO 9
3 Hole BLACK FAMILY TEES AGES 5 TO 6

MAXIMUM SHOTS PER HOLE:    Maximum shots per Hole is 10. Once the max. 10 is reached, pick up and write down the max. 10 score on the scorecard. Please circle all max 10 on the card.

BUNKERS: All bunkers are to be played as waste areas, club may be grounded, not as a hazard.

HAZARDS: All Hazards (Water, Wetlands, Out of Bounds) will be played as LATERAL.  Find the point the ball last crossed the margin of the hazard, take two club lengths from that point (no closer to the hole) and drop the ball with a ONE STROKE PENALTY.

GROUND UNDER REPAIR: FREE DROP, NO CLOSER TO THE HOLE WITH NO PENALTY

ENTRY FEE: $40 Non Resident, $35 Resident, $30 Members & Staff

TIES: In the event of a tie for 1st Place will be determined by a PUTT OFF. All other ties will be broken via a scorecard playoff.

PAYOUTS: Awards following play.

All scorecards are to be completed and turned into Jim in the Banquet Room.
FOOD/BEVERAGE TICKET: Once each player turns in their scorecard they will receive a ticket for Food starting approximately at 5:45 PM. Awards approximately 6:30 PM.

Two Person Challenge

FORMAT:
Holes 1 thru 6 Better Ball of Pairs
Each Player plays their own ball with the better net score between partners as the team score for the hole. 100% of Course Handicap stokes fall as they would on the card.
Holes 7 thru 12    Alternate Shot
Players will decide who is hitting the tee shot on the Odd Holes and the other on the Even Holes. Team Handicap figured by 60% of the A-Player and 40% of the B-Player combined and divided by 3 for team HDCP.
