[/vc_column_text][vcex_heading text=”USGA Rules”][vc_column_text]The USGA Rules of Golf will govern all competition, as amended for local rules of play and those regarding the scramble format. If you are uncertain on how to proceed under the rules, play a 2nd ball and a decision will be made later.[/vc_column_text][vcex_spacing][vcex_heading text=”Pace of Play”][vc_column_text]
KEEP PACE WITH THE GROUP IN FRONT OF YOU
[/vc_column_text][vcex_spacing][vcex_heading text=”Scramble Format”][vc_column_text]On every hole, each member of the team may hit a tee shot. The team selects one of the tee shots from which to play. All members of the team may then hit from that position. This procedure is repeated until the ball is holed. MUST USE ONE TEE SHOT PER PLAYER DURING ROUND![/vc_column_text][vcex_spacing][vcex_heading text=”Selected Shot”][vc_column_text]Each team member may place his/her ball within one club length of the selected shot, no nearer to the hole. If the shot selected is played from a hazard, bunker, rough, fairway, or fringe of the green, the ball must be played from within one (1) club length of the shot selected, no nearer the hole, and must remain in the hazard, bunker, rough, fairway, or fringe of the green.[/vc_column_text][vcex_spacing][vcex_heading text=”Improving Lie of Ball (Through the Green)”][vc_column_text]A team member may improve his/her lie by hand placing the ball or by moving it with his/her club head. The ball is in play when the player addresses it or, if they do not address it, when they make their next stroke at it.[/vc_column_text][vcex_spacing][vcex_heading text=”Improving Lie of Ball (Putting Green)”][vc_column_text]When putting, the ball must be placed within one putter head from the mark, no closer to the hole. Once the ball is holed out, no further strokes count.[/vc_column_text][vcex_spacing][vcex_heading text=”Standing on an Extension of Line of Play”][vc_column_text]Team members may stand behind one another (on an extension line of play) while they are playing a stroke.[/vc_column_text][vcex_spacing][vcex_heading text=”One Ball Rule”][vc_column_text]The “one ball rule” is not in effect. Players may change the brand or type of ball between shot, between holes or at anytime.[/vc_column_text][vcex_spacing][vcex_heading text=”Tees”][vc_column_text]Men are to play from the GOLD tees. Ladies are to play from the RED tees. If all 4 players in the group are over 55 years of age, then Men play from the WHITE tees. ID verification required for age.[/vc_column_text][vcex_spacing][vc_column_text]
Ties will be decided by a scorecard playoff using the USGA method
[/vc_column_text][vcex_spacing][vc_column_text]Environmentally Sensitive Areas *Local Rule* – Federally protected wetlands are marked throughout the course with appropriate signage and red stakes with green tops. These areas are not to be entered for any reason and are played as Lateral Water Hazards. A ball may not be played by a player whose stance or swing path lies within a federally protected area[/vc_column_text][vcex_spacing][vc_column_text]
